Does Stranger Things Season 4 Qualify For The 2022 Emmy Nominations?

This is absolutely no secret stranger things is a very popular series. Just with its fourth season, it broke various viewership records for Netflix. From the most-streamed series in an opening weekend, it became the most-watched English-language series of all time on Netflix, topping the opening weekend for the first time in 83 countries.

Fans are obsessed with the series, and rightly so. It has lovable characters, character development, interesting storylines and such a unique concept when it comes to Upside Down and all its creepy creatures.

The downside of awards shows is that sometimes even the best shows and movies get snubbed, whether it’s a win or a nomination. At other times, the problem is that production has missed the deadline window. So what for stranger things Season 4?

Does Stranger Things Season 4 Qualify For The 2022 Emmy Nominations?

Season 4 is a bit good, weird, in terms of being eligible. As a season overall, it would not be eligible. butSeason 4 Part 1, which consisted of the first seven episodes of nine, is eligible for this year’s Emmy nominations.

Based on the Emmy Awards selection calendar, a program must have been released sometime between June 1, 2021 and May 31, 2022. Well, the first episode of Season 4 episodes was released on Netflix on May 27, days before the window closed. This means that Volume 2, which will be released on July 1st, will miss the deadline.

Of course, all the actors are extremely talented. Eleven actress Millie Bobby Brown has had the most emotional story to work with over the years and has done amazing every season including the most recent. I wouldn’t be surprised if she received a nomination for her work this year.

And someone who blew our minds and finally got a chance to shine was Sadie Sink, our beloved Max! In the fourth episode “Dear Billy” she played absolutely fantastic. I mean if this episode and the actress don’t get a nomination then something is really wrong!

Honestly, if I had my way, I’d give Jamie Campbell Bower a nomination this year too! He played the jailer so well. From the kind and gentle “friend” of El to the completely out of control Henry Creel. Wow. The range of emotions this actor has was really impressive!

The two leads, this season’s big villains, and the season itself definitely deserve a place on the list. Hopefully they do and they win! The Emmy nominations are scheduled to be announced on July 12. The 2022 Emmy Awards show will air Monday, September 12.
