A DINER has prepared a dry, overcooked and ‘disappointing’ roast dinner that costs £11.79.
Uni students were served two pieces of broccoli, four overcooked carrots, and two slices of shredded beef and turkey.
The three tatties also look outrageous when there’s only a small piece of cauliflower cheese and an oddly shaped filling in a Yorkshire pudding served at the Channings Hotel in Bristol.
The student’s mother, a lawyer, wrote: “So here’s what Greene King serves at the award-winning roast dinner.
“My daughter stayed with three friends. They didn’t like to complain, thinking they would be seen as students trying.
“They had to pay upfront for an app. I’ve seen better in the hospital.”
She complained to the hotel but was told it would take a week to review.
Lisa Caswell commented on her post: “I just got out of the hospital and the food is amazing.
“Their chicken dinner turned it into a straw hat.”
Angry Chris Dale: “Our dog doesn’t want to eat much. But I think you found it. ”
Tim Burrows added: “It was one of the worst meals I have ever seen. OH.”
“It’s not a grill,” says Mark Savage.
But other diners had previously complimented the hotel’s food.
One person wrote on tripadviser that she had the best turkey she’s ever tasted while going to Christmas.
Another added that it had a great choice of food while another said the food was “fresh, hot and delicious”.
Greene King, the hotel’s owner, has been contacted for comment.
