Dillon Brooks slams “regular pedestrian” Shannon Sharpe as Ja Morant, Grizzlies meets NFL legend and loses to Lakers

DILLON Brooks has slammed ‘regular pedestrian’ Shannon Sharpe after the NFL legend clashed with Memphis Grizzlies players in their 122-121 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The three-time Super Bowl champion and Undisputed co-host got into a heated exchange with Brooks, 26, as well as Ja Morant and his father Tee at halftime on Friday night.

ESPN cameras caught Grizzlies center Steven Adams charging at Sharpe, 54, after the Fox Sports broadcaster spoke to Brooks and Ja Morant from his seat.

Safety had to step in as a group of Memphis players took on the tight end of the former Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens.

The elder Morant then came over and began arguing with Sharpe before the two were escorted off the pitch in separate directions.

The two men returned to their seats in the third quarter and were later seen hugging on the sidelines.

But Brooks apparently wasn’t over the post-game altercation.

“That’s not what I’m talking about,” the sixth-year martial veteran told ESPN.

“You can ask him. He’s the blogger or whatever he is. I’m not really interested in any of that. Next question.”

Before returning to his seat, Sharpe told reporters the incident began when he told Brooks he was “too small to guard LeBron [James].”

And when pressed about whether the Fox Sports star’s behavior was appropriate, Brooks said: “A normal pedestrian like him? no

“He should never have come back into the game. But this is LA”

Brooks added he only said LeBron James missed a shot while guarding the four-time NBA champion.

Avid Lakers fan Sharpe is known for his admiration for James.

And the NFL Hall-of-Famer was ready to defend the 18-time NBA All-Star when he felt the Grizzlies were disrespecting the LA forward.

“They didn’t want that smoke,” Sharpe told ESPN right after the halftime incident. “They talk and argue all this and I don’t care.

“It started with Dillon Brooks. I said he was too short to guard LeBron. He said, ‘F— me.’ I said ‘F— you’ back.

“He came up to me and I said, ‘You don’t want these problems.’

“And then Ja came out of nowhere and spoke. He definitely didn’t want those problems.

“Then the father came and he obviously didn’t want any problems. But I wanted everything they had. Now don’t let these idiots fool you.”
