Destiny 2: The Witch Queen: Expect time and trouble in the login queue

Destiny 2’s Witch Queen the extension is hours away – or maybe even by the time you’re reading this – but that doesn’t mean it’ll be easy to log in.

More than a million Destiny players have pre-ordered the new expansion, which is sure to cause some difficulties for players trying to get into the game for the first few hours – or even days. Senior Destiny Community Manager, Dylan “dmg04” Gafner, tweeted earlier this month that the player should wait for when trying to enter the game.

Gafner mentioned that Bungie is trying to prepare for the massive playerbase on February 22 with stress test servers.

Past expansions – and even some seasonal drops – have experienced server lag and mass logins before. I personally waited a couple of hours to get in Beyond the light expansion in 2020. If past releases are any indication, the game runs a bit hectic for the first few hours, but everything should be fine by the end of the first day.

Bungie’s customer support Twitter account, Bungie Helpwill update players on the status of Fate 2your server and any ongoing problems.
