Destiny 2: Season of the Lost Final quest to reveal Osiris .’s fate

Only one week left Fate 2new Witch Queen expansion, Bungie has launched a new mission in his MMO. The quest – which the player has been waiting and watching for months – is called Exorcism, and begins Savathun’s story.

[Spoiler warning: This post contains spoilers for the Destiny 2: Season of the Lost finale, Exorcism]

Season of the Lost begins with a big reveal: Savathun, queen of lies and sister of Oryx the Taken King, impersonated Osiris Patronus for almost a year. After revealing her identity, she gets trapped in a large cocoon and lands a bargain with players Guardian, Crow, Saint-14, Vanguard, and Queen Mara Sov. If they help her get rid of her worm – Darkness appears in the hive, giving them strength but consuming them if they stray from their particular path – she will bring the real Osiris back to life. Tower again.

During the first few months of the season, before Bungie’s 30th Anniversary Package, the player helps rescue the witch Techeun so that Mara can exorcise the Savathun worm. After months of waiting, the new quest has finally appeared on the Director.

Exorcism is a quest that is paired with six players and sends the player into the Well of the Blind, much like the seasonal Astral Alignment. After the player aligns the beacon, Mara teleports them to Recently built Dreaming City bridge. After fighting Hive over the bridge, the player enters Mara’s tower to help perform the ritual.

The Techeuns start their magic and Saint-14 explodes the Titan Bubble in the middle of the room. The player battles the bosses of the Astral Alignment one last time before facing another champion of Xivu Arath – Oryx and Savathun’s other sister. After defeating the champion, Mara and her parents unpacked the worm and opened Savathun’s cocoon. Savathun fled into the ether, leaving the real Osiris behind.

And that’s where the quest – and Season of the Lost – ends. Osiris was back under the care of his partner, Saint-14; Mara has Savathun’s worm; Uldren/Crow is still working with Caiatl; and no one knows when Savathun will return. Actually, we know exactly when Savathun will pop: when will Bungie come out Fate 2: The Witch Queen on February 22nd.
