DEREK CHISORA admits he’s ‘open’ to the idea of playing Deontay Wilder later this year.
The world title challenger was touted as a potential competitor for the following Americans unanimously decided to lose to Joseph Parker last month.
And the prospect of mixing it up with the former WBC-dominated heavyweight champion is what excites Del Boy.
In an appearance on talkSPORT, Chisora said, “I’m open to anything – I love fighting.”
Chisora’s willingness to take on knockout boxer Wilder stems from his eagerness to share the ring with all the big names of his generation.
He continued: “What most people don’t understand is that some people want to have the perception of being a boxer on Instagram.
“I’m not that guy. I want to be the guy that when I sit down and people look at my résumé, I want to say, ‘You know what, I fought everyone.’
“I don’t want people to decide for me, I make my own decisions and I’m happy with my decision.

“So if I have to fight Deontay Wilder, if I have to fight anyone, if I have to fight an American, I don’t care. I will fight.”
Head of boxing Eddie Hearn loves the idea of a showdown between two heavyweight boxers, recently telling DAZN: “Deontay Wilder, we’d love to see you back in the ring.
“I’ve got the perfect guy for you – Derek Chisora.
“Come on, he’s having a little bit.
“The fight back is easy for Deontay Wilder. Derek is ready.”
But fan favorite Chisora will have to find himself a new head coach if he accepts a clash with the Bronze Bombers while coach Dave Coldwell is on stand-by.
He told talkSPORT: “It’s not what I want to see. I think it’s just been a rough night for him.
“Derek is Derek and he will do what he wants to do. It doesn’t matter who says what, it’s the same way he has been throughout his career.
“When it comes to, ‘Is he fighting again or not fighting back?’
“Yes, he will listen to everyone’s advice when it comes to opponents and things like that, but Derek wants to fight certain people.
“If he wants to fight, then they will happen. If I had my way, he wouldn’t fight Deontay Wilder, that’s for sure. “
