Delphi Snapchat Murder Suspect Richard Allen Makes Brazen Request for Libby German and Abby Williams’ Deaths After Arrest

DELPHI murder suspect Richard Allen has made a brave plea after his arrest in the horrific deaths of Libby German and Abby Williams.
Lawyers for Richard Allen asked the court for funding to hire experts to help strengthen her case on a record, saying their client did not have the money to adequately defend himself.

His team also tries to keep their defense strategy secret from prosecutors, and has requested that the judge order court staff and court reporters to keep information released at the hearings confidential.
That’s because a judge has already issued a gag order prohibiting any parties involved in the case from speaking publicly about it, reports WTHR.
Allen, a 50-year-old father, was arrested in late October in a bombshell update in the 2017 Delphi murder investigation.
Haunting information has emerged about the only identified suspect in the murder, including the fact that he has been right next to the crime all these years.

Libby, 14, and Abby, 13, were found dead in a Delphi, Indiana, forest on Valentine’s Day 2017, sparking a years-long investigation that left the small community almost hopeless.
However, the suspect was right under their noses when it was revealed that Allen worked as a pharmacy technician at a local CVS and remained in the close-knit community before becoming implicated in the murders.
Other haunting clues have surfaced that offer a glimpse into Allen’s life in the crime-torn town, including a chilling picture of his daughter at the spot where Abby and Libby were last seen.
A recent affidavit unsealed by a judge revealed that Allen had actually admitted to being on the bridge at the same time the girls were killed in two separate interviews, including one in 2017.
The documents also said that an unused .40 bullet found between the two girls’ bodies appeared to have been put through a handgun belonging to Allen.
Little is known about the scene where Libby and Abby were tragically found, and their official cause of death has not been released to the public.
Investigators have said parts of Libby and Abigail’s clothing were missing when they were discovered.
Officials suspected the killer had taken a souvenir and believed photos or video were likely taken of the monstrous facility to “commemorate” the crime scene.
Crime expert Joseph Scott Morgen suggested Allen’s intimate access to the community may have given him “sick pleasure” while investigators desperately searched for leads.
As Allen continues to be analyzed in court, theories have surfaced that he may not have been working alone during the murders.
Prior to the release of the affidavit, prosecutors had asked a judge not to release the affidavit’s contents to the public, insisting they had “good reason” to believe Allen may have had an accomplice.
Allen’s legal team called the evidence “thin” in the affidavit and insisted the Indiana investigators got “the wrong guy.”
He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder.
More is to be revealed in the chilling case, and a hearing is scheduled for January 13, 2023 to determine whether the gag order should stand.
A bond hearing for Allen has been scheduled for February 17, 2023.
