Death Row’s “most hated killer” Arthur Frederick Good asked the child star to sit on his lap as he died with his last words of horror

THE words of horror of a killer who was about to be executed and known as “the most hated man on death row” have been revealed.

Arthur Frederick Goode, who was electrocuted on April 5, 1984, asked 13-year-old child actor Ricky Schroder to sit on his lap in his final moments.

The pedophile was convicted of kidnapping, raping and murdering two boys in 1976.

The first cold blood murder occurred in Cape Coral, Florida when he kidnapped 9-year-old Jason VerDow while the boy was waiting for his school bus.

Just a few weeks later, Goode kidnapped 11-year-old Kenny Dawson from a bus stop in Falls Church, Virginia. He led the child into the forest before molesting and mutilating him in front of another child.

Luckily, a woman identified Goode from newspaper clippings and called the police.

Goode showed no remorse at his trial. “If I ever get my hands on another boy, especially a sexy little boy, he’ll never make it home,” he told the judge.

After committing the unthinkable acts of violence, Goode blamed his actions on “society’s prejudice against pedophilia.”

“I’m not a violent person,” Goode said after being found guilty. “I hated killing those kids. What else could I do to get society’s attention? I’m trying to get society to understand it.”

His humiliating behavior didn’t stop behind bars. Goode reportedly wrote many letters to school teachers, asking them to arrange pen pals for students.

Goode also reportedly developed a deep obsession with the 13-year-old child actor, who rose to fame after starring in Franco Zeffirelli’s The Champ in 1979.

Before he faced execution, the killer made one last request.

“I want Ricky Schroder to sit on my lap when I’m strapped into the electric chair,” he told the Baltimore Sun with a smile on his face.

Of course, there was no hope that Goode’s absurd request would ever be granted.

Without Schröder’s company, he settled on a final meal of steak, corn, broccoli, and biscuits.
