‘Dead’ woman being transported to her funeral wakes up, stunned by grieving family

A dead woman has stunned her loved ones after waking up on her way to her own funeral.
Chataporn Sriphonla, 49, is believed to have died on June 29 – and her family quickly began funeral arrangements in line with Buddhist tradition.
Chataporn’s mother Mali said: “My daughter was treated in hospital for cancer but doctors told us she had little chance of survival.”
“I wanted her to spend her final moments with family, so I made sure she was brought back to our home.
“It is heartbroken to find out that she had died on the way home.”
After her death, her family bought a coffin and arranged for cremation – but on the way to the camp where her body was to be kept, the family was shocked by a surprise.
The passengers in the car carrying her body were shocked when the “dead” woman suddenly woke up and was breathing.
The family rushed the woman to the hospital, where she remains under medical supervision.
Her relatives were understandably confused but said they believe Chataporn kept seeing her children before her death.
An eerily similar incident occurred in Ecuador last month when a woman believed to be dead woke up and pounded from inside her coffin.
Bella Montoya, 76, shocked her loved ones when she woke up after doctors pronounced her dead last month.
Retired nurse Bella was found alive in her coffin on June 9 after spending five hours at a funeral home.
She was carried away by firefighters and returned to the same hospital where she had previously “died”.
However, the Ecuadorian Health Ministry confirmed in a statement that the woman has now died of an ischemic stroke after spending a week in intensive care.
The ministry statement went on to say that she was “constantly monitored” in intensive care, but doctors were unable to save her.
The woman’s son, Gilberto, said no medical explanation had been given as to why his mother suddenly woke up hours after her “death”.
Officials have launched an investigation to identify the doctor who signed her death certificate after the family filed an official complaint.
Her remains have now been returned to the funeral home, where she will be buried in a cemetery this week.
