DAVID BECKHAM’s Inter Miami were destroyed 5-1 by Austin in the second game of their Major League Soccer campaign.
The east coast outfit is now managed by Phil Neville, Beckham’s former teammate at Manchester United.
But they had a goalless draw against Chicago in their opening game of the season with a lousy performance away from Austin.
And among those taking part in the terrifying display were former Newcastle player DeAndre Yedlin and former Juventus and Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain.
Sebastian Druissi gave Austin the lead midway through the first half, before Julio Cascante doubled the advantage shortly after.
Driussi scored his second goal of the game six minutes into the first half as Austin made it 3-0.
But Higuain then assisted Leonardo Campana to regain a goal for the visitors in the 53rd minute.
However, it will prove to be only a consolation as Austin’s Ethan Finley’s double has added to the misery for Beckham, Neville and the Inter Miami fans.

They have now lost six of their last seven away games – a streak stretching back to last season.
In the 2021 campaign, Inter Miami placed 11th out of 14 teams in the Eastern Conference.
And after two games this season, they are struggling similarly, currently falling to 10th place – without a win in their opening two games.
Beckham, who founded the team in 2018, is currently overseeing their third campaign in the MLS.
