Date and location of Chris Eubank Jr vs. Conor Benn fight CONFIRMED as the stars are set to clash at O2 Catchweight on October 8th

CHRIS EUBANK JR finally signed his half of the contract to fight Conor Benn at O2 on October 8th and put an end to the family feud.

The pair will meet at a starting weight of 157 pounds, with a strict rehydration clause to prevent middleweight Eubank Jr., 32, from becoming excessively taller than the 25-year-old welterweight man.

The fight will mark almost exactly 30 years since their legendary dads Nigel Benn and Chris Sr. clashed for the second and final time.

The deal was nearly signed late last month, but Eubank Jr. — a former super-middle — had a few last-minute deals to bring up and take advantage of in the negotiations.

World middleweight champions Demetrius Andrade and Jermall Charlo both posted on social media demanding a fight with Brighton-based ace ring legend Chris Sr.

And then Eubank Jr. wasted a few tweets trying to talk YouTube cruiserweight contender Jake Paul into a fight, which caused Benn to rage online.

“Why are you worried about fighting Jake?” he messaged. “I understand you’ve lost your pen again?”

To which Eubank Jr. replied, “There’s nothing about him that worries me, trust me.

“And my pen is ready as soon as the contract is right on my side, which is not the case at the moment.”

Now Eubank has found his pen and signed on the dotted line, with a few minor details still to be worked out.

The seeds for this cross-divisional extravaganza were first sown in February after Benn watched Eubank Jr. defeat Liam Williams and said, “I appreciate my chances at catchweight.”

Eubank Jr. was intrigued but put it back while trying to aim for a world title, saying, “What fight fan wouldn’t want to see it?

“Two legends, their sons fight each other and both are doing great things in the boxing world.

“Right now it doesn’t make sense, but in a few years when Benn is a little filled in and I want to have a little bit of fun, we can do it, but not now.”

Eubank Jr. had an exclusive broadcast deal with Sky Sports but was unhappy with their plan to fight Liam Smith, so he switched to Benn’s sports streaming app DAZN.
