‘Daredevil’, Jessica Jones, ‘Other Marvel Series Leave Netflix March 2022

Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and NetflixOther street-level Marvel heroes are moving to a new neighborhood.

On Friday morning, the Internet announced the fact that a slash reading “This show is available until March 1” had been pasted into the streamer’s Marvel title tag. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Defenders and Who punished series. Oh and Iron Fisttoo.

There is still no official word on where the collective libraries of the six series will be moved; TVLine inquired about Disney+ and Hulu, both owned in whole or in part by Marvel owner Disney.

Marvel’s Daredevil – the first of a series of “street heroes” to be brought into live-action by Netflix on the small screen (and produced by the now defunct Marvel TV) – premiered in April 2015 and was canceled after three seasons, in November 2018.

As our sister site Variety reported back in the day, Netflix’s deal with four of its original Marvel shows (Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage included) has a provision that prevents title characters from appearing “in any non-Netflix series or series for at least two years following cancellation.” Sure enough, last December – three years later Daredevil get the ax – series star Charlie Cox reprises the role of Matt Murdock on the big screen in Spider-Man: No way from homethe same week that Vincent D’Onofrio made his first “encore” appearance on Disney + ‘s Hawk Eye as Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin.

Jessica Jones‘the third and final season of Netflix/Marvel episodes will premiere in June 2019; last month, in february 2019, Jessica Jones and Who punished (spanning two seasons) was the last to be cancelled.

Where do you suspect Jessica, Luke, Matt, Danny and Frank will be calling home?
