Sturridge posted a video on Instagram where he talks about the day’s football matches.
In the video he said: “I’m coming to the sports bar now to watch the England game, watched the France game and Giroud scored and my husband scored another double.”
Sturridge then broke into song again to celebrate Mbappe’s goals as he sang, “Mbappe, Mbappe, Mbappe, he’ll score, he’ll score, yeah.”
The post garnered 4,000 likes and many comments, but one by Lovren stood out.
The Croatian defender replied: “Stop singing and send me those sunglasses for once,” along with a kissing emoji.
Lovren’s comment garnered almost 200 likes, with people commenting and calling him the “goat” for his joke.
