Daniel Dubois called out Australian slugger Lucas Browne for the next fight and clinched the WBA title after defeating Trevor Bryan

DANIEL DUBOIS’ world heavyweight title belt already looks like a target on his back.

The 24-year-old powerhouse beat American Trevor Bryan in four dominant rounds in Miami on Saturday night to claim the second WBA title.

And SunSport understands that tattooed Aussie bully Lucas Browne has already tried to get in on the action and be his next opponent.

After overpowering unbeaten Bryan, 34, with a series of left hooks, Dubois and star trainer Shane McGuigan revealed their compatriot Dillian Whyte is their ideal opponent.

Dynamite Dan wants revenge after Whyte accused him of quitting in his 2020 loss to Joe Joyce, while McGuigan sees an all-English showdown with the body snatcher as the best commercial plan.

However, the 34-year-old is unlikely to land a shot at the ‘regular’ title following his loss to Tyson Fury, 33, in April.

The 43-year-old Browne, ideally placed in the WBA’s top-15 after a series of surprise knockout wins, has thrown his hat in the ring.

British fight fans will recognize Browne from his 2018 loss to Whyte and 2019 loss to Dave Allen, and his OTT trash talk will definitely help sell any fight.

The former WBA champion looked done after former rugby player Paul Gallen, 40, destroyed him in a dismal 2021 round.

But he has bounced back with two KO wins, most recently on June 5 against respected Junior Fa, 30.

Dubois has also bounced back from losing to Joyce with two US wins and now wants a UK homecoming.

And Browne would be an ideal opponent after courageously taking on the mission in the States to dethrone Bryan in his own backyard.

The Greenwich brute, led by promoter Frank Warren, roared: “I’m ready for whoever’s next.

“I think that will make me a better fighter right now.

“When you win the world title it means you get to the next level, so names like Dillian Whyte and Joseph Parker are all on my hit list.

“I will fight whoever Frank puts me next with.
“It was amazing.

“Getting out of here and winning a world title, that’s what I dreamed of as a little kid and now it’s finally happened.”
