A 23-year-old woman identified Alves as her attacker to police, leading to his arrest on January 20.
He is being held in Brians 2 prison in Catalonia, Spain, where he reportedly made his prison football debut.
A prison source told La Vanguardia that ‘expectation was high’ as many of the other inmates idolize the Barca ace.
The footie star reportedly told fellow inmates: “I’ll take whatever comes. I left home when I was barely 15 years old.
“I have overcome very difficult and complicated situations in my life. This will be another one that will pass. Nothing scares me.”
In a strange twist of fate, Alves shares a cell with another Brazilian named Coutinho, although it’s certainly not his national team-mate.
This Coutinho is not without footballing connections, however, as La Vanguardia also report that he was once the bodyguard of Brazilian legend Ronaldinho.
It comes after reports that Alves was behind bars signing autographs for other lags.
A former inmate of Brian’s 2 showed Telecino a shirt signed by the soccer star, 39.
He also revealed how Alves was taken in prison and no one has called him a ‘rapist’.
According to reports from Spain, Alves initially denied any contact with his accuser.
In a Spanish TV interview, Alves said: “I don’t know who this lady is.
“I don’t know her name, I don’t know her, I’ve never seen her in my life.”
However, in a court hearing, the footballer is said to have told the judge that he had consensual sex with the woman.
His changing version of events was key to the decision to place him in custody, reports El Mundo.
It came after CCTV footage released by Spanish media showed him and the alleged victim in a VIP area and then went to the toilet for 47 seconds.
The woman said she was too scared to leave the toilet for a few minutes after the alleged attack.
When she finally opened the door, the footballer and his companions had left the venue.
She reportedly broke down in tears and was comforted by her friends before reporting it to the club’s bouncers.

The star’s arrest was a second blow to his heartbroken wife Joana Sanz, just days after their mother died of cancer
The Spanish model, 29, said she lost the “two pillars of my life” after her husband’s arrest.
