DANGER! Fans have claimed that Ken Jennings’ joke about a famous controversial comedian is why he may “get the hosting job permanently”.
Ken, 47, showed off his witty sense of humor in a recent episode.
For the Oh Me of Little Faith category, the question that popped up was, “Those atheists tweeted by Derek-Star were fighting again ‘about who believes in no god the most…wait…it never happens.'”
Candidate Mattea Roach responded in the form of a question.
She said: “Who is Ricky Gervais?
The host usually responds with “correct” or “yes” if the participant’s answer is correct.
The danger! Host apparently went off script.
Ken replied, “Yeah, I think he’s an atheist.
“I had no idea.”
The ABC star’s witty response got Martha laughing.
Danger! Fans cheered for Ken and his sharp sense of humor when the clip from the game show was shown went viral on the web.

Ken hit the comments section and tweeted, “I’m a bad widdle boy.”
In early April, The Sun exclusively announced that the quiz show’s ratings had almost doubled since Ken’s first appearance.
JEOPARDY! Co-host Mayim Bialik, 46, announced that she and Ken will quit hosting the ABC show in July.
By then, a permanent host to be announced will take over.
The Blossom actress told Newsweek: “I threw my hat in that ring very publicly.
“I like to say that as an actor and as a potential Jeopardy! host, we live season after season, so I know where I am through May 6th.
“And beyond that, I can wait and see.”
Fans have been pushing for Ken to become the permanent host but have teased Mayim about recent blunders, wearing the same blazer twice.
The Big Bang Theory actress responded during her Daily Pop to E! Interview with Justin Sylvester and Morgan Stewart McGraw.
She explained why she wore the same outfit again: “There’s a budget for Jeopardy! People!
“I grew up with a bathroom until I was 15 and my brother was 19. We budget!”
Mayim promised: “I will wear it again! And I will wear it again.”
Former host Alex Trebek fronted the ABC series for over three decades before passing away on November 8, 2020.
He revealed to his beloved fans in 2019 that he was battling stage four pancreatic cancer.
Alex has hosted the show since it premiered in the early ’80s, reaching nearly 8,000 episodes.
