Dana White reacts to Nate Diaz’s latest post calling for a fight against Dustin Poirier

Dana White recently admitted he’s interested in a clash between Nate Diaz and Dustin Poirier though no major strides have been made in setting it up. He also reassured the Stockton native that he would fight in the promotion.

Diaz and Poirier have been back and forth on social media, showing their interest in going against each other. The Ultimate Fighter Season 5 winner, who has only one fight left on his contract, recently posted a Tweet signaling the UFC to give him a fight with ‘The Diamond’:

In an interview with ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, White responded to the tweet and assured the younger Diaz that the UFC would give him a fight:

“Yes, of course, we care. This is what we do. We fight every weekend. What happens is the guys want to jump out of nowhere and say, ‘I want to do the thing. I want to do that.’ We fought until I mean May 2. Everything is ready, everything is done. I say this all the time. I’ve been saying this for 20 years. We signed the contract. copper to get the boys to fight three times a year. They have to fight. We’ll fight.”

Michael Bisping Doesn’t Expect Nate Diaz To Leave The UFC Before His Third Fight With Conor McGregor

Nate Diaz is calling out Dustin Poirier about the final bout of his UFC contract. However, Michael Bisping don’t think the Stockton native will leave the world’s top MMA tournament without a rubber fight with Conor McGregor.

In a recent episode of Believe me Podcast, Bisping said that there was so much money involved in the third Diaz-McGregor match that any parties involved were denied. He added that the UFC would want The Ultimate Fighter season 5 winner to sign a one-fight extension before a potential fight with Poirier:

“Nate Diaz won’t be out of the UFC without a third fight with Conor McGregor… Impossible. Too much money. It’s a big fight. Diaz-McGregor III. Huge. In fact, they said. about Dustin fighting, right? They said they’d do it on condition or forewarning that you sign for another fight. Because they wanted to hit Conor McGregor.”
