“I can’t tell you how grateful I am for all of the love, all of the support and everything that comes my way right now,” Hamlin said.

“This is just the beginning of the impact I wanted to have in the world and with God’s guidance I will continue to do wonderful and great things.”

Hamlin has received an incredible amount of support from the football community following his injury.

His GoFundMe account raised over $9 million, easily surpassing the goal of $2,500.

The charity account was “originally set up to support a toy drive for Damar’s community sponsored by the Chasing M’s Foundation”.

Hamlin said of the support, “I couldn’t do this without the support and the love and I can’t wait to continue taking you on this journey.”

Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest on the field while facing Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins in a regular-season matchup on Jan. 2.
