The 82-year-old, who has been battling colon cancer since September last year, is yet to be discharged from hospital, where his daughter shared a heartfelt snap of them.
Kely Nascimento uploaded a picture to her Instagram page of her hugging her father in his hospital room.
Pele’s granddaughter could be seen on a sofa in the background.
Kely’s accompanying caption read: “We continue to be here, in the fight and in the faith. Another night together.”
She also included a video of her father sleeping in bed while the family spoke to him.
The entire football world has kept Pele in their thoughts and prayers since his admission to the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo, where he will spend Christmas.
And the outpouring of emotion has given him immense “consolation.”
Kely said: “Your love for him, your stories and your prayers are a HUGE comfort as we know we are not alone.
“Let’s turn this room into a sambadrome (just kidding), let’s even make caipirinhas (no kidding!!)”
Pele’s son Edinho has also arrived at the hospital to show his support for his father.
He posted a picture of their hands holding each other on Instagram along with the emotional message, “Father… my strength is yours.”
Pele is currently being treated for heart and kidney dysfunction.
A recent hospital statement read: “Edson Arantes do Nascimento has been approved since November 29 for the re-evaluation of chemotherapy for colon tumors and for the treatment of a respiratory tract infection and shows progression of oncological disease and requires greater care related to renal and cardiac dysfunction .
“The patient remains under the necessary care of the medical team in a common room in the hospital.”
Daughter Flavia said: “He gets better help in the hospital.
“But he’s not in intensive care, he’s in a normal room. So he’s not at risk.

“As a person with a more fragile health, it is better to be in the hospital.”
Despite being in hospital, Pelé did not miss the sensational World Cup final between Argentina and France last weekend.
He wrote on Instagram: “Today, as always, football tells its story in an exciting way.
“[Lionel] Messi won his first World Cup as his career deserved.

“My dear friend Mbappe, who scored four goals in a final.
“What a gift to see this spectacle to see the future of our sport.”
