He flipped the phone up to film the moment, hit record again and stopped the video.

The Epsom, Surrey firefighter said: “We lost the game on penalties but Jack was more disappointed with my mishap.

“I don’t know how it happened. We went in early to see them warming up right next to us.

“Jack yelled at the injured Ben Chilwell as he passed, so I got the phone ready and started recording, pointing it at my feet.

“He kindly came over to punch him and put his arm around him for a photo.

“My heart sank when I wanted to show him the video, but it wasn’t there.

“I must have pressed record without realizing I was already filming.

“Jack immediately started to swell and burst into tears.

“I’ve never felt so bad.”
