Customers beg Aldi to bring back discontinued fan favorite as store says maybe they’ll have ‘something similar someday’

CUSTOMERS are begging Aldi to bring back a much-loved dining item after it mysteriously disappeared.

Aldi is a destination for bargain hunters looking for quality groceries at affordable prices.

Many shoppers rely on discounters for certain staples in their kitchen.

Unfortunately for many shoppers, Aldi has discontinued its vegetarian chicken patties without explanation.

The patties were delivered frozen and quickly received positive reviews from buyers.

After the product disappeared from store shelves, several customers complained online about the disappearance.

“Please bring back the vegetarian chicken patties!!!!! Please I’m begging you!!!” One shopper wrote further X (formerly known as Twitter).

In response, Aldi had bad news.

“Unfortunately they were discontinued! We hope we can have something similar one day,” the retailer responded.

The customer’s response was a heartfelt “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOIO.”

Other buyers have also highly praised the product, making the take even more shocking.

One shopper called the item “so good” on Reddit.

“They’re worth a try! “They don’t taste 100% like chicken, but the patties were nice and firm, had a good texture when bitten into, and went great with a sandwich with sides,” they said.

Another fan wrote: “They are good. I pop them in the toaster until crispy and then make a grilled sandwich with the chickenless patty, mild cheddar, dill relish and yellow mustard on whole wheat bread.”

MORE DISCONTINUED ITEMS

This isn’t the first time Aldi has been taken to task by shoppers over an unpopular product discontinuation.

The chain also discontinued its specialty croissant rolls earlier this year.

The rolls were a delicious addition to any lunch or breakfast sandwich, and many shoppers enjoyed using them to make ham or egg and cheese sandwiches.

“It has been months without them and we are beginning to think they are gone forever. Please tell me they will return to our store shelves,” one fan wrote on Twitter after noticing the item’s absence.

In response, Aldi said:

“The croissant rolls were an ALDI Find item. We cannot provide a return date at this time.”

This came after Aldi had already discontinued its Bake House Salted Caramel chocolate chip cookies, which also disappointed and angered shoppers.

However, there is some good news for buyers.

The retailer brought back a popular pizza that shoppers have been dying to see for months.

The Mama Cozzi breakfast pizza has returned this season as a take-and-bake entrée with sausage and cheese.

Each pizza included eggs, sausage and a biscuit crust, making it a good option for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
