A disappointed customer felt disappointed when she was charged £32 for a SINGLE slice of toast and scrambled eggs.
The “tasteless truffles” and easy portion size enraged this woman after visiting a fancy London restaurant.
Speaking to her followers on TikTok: @Boujiefoodie93 shared her shocking experience.
She said clean the clip: “This is the most expensive scrambled egg on toast I’ve ever tasted.”
“No amount of shaved truffles can make up for the fact that this toast is £32 a slice.”
“The toast itself was good, but we could hardly taste any of the truffles.”
The content creator also opted for the French toast – which garnered more praise than the eggs.
The sweet and savory breakfast, served with a generous helping of cream and compote, was a hit.
Another “extremely delicious” dish on the menu was an apple and fanno croissant, which was immaculately presented.
“Overall, I think the sweet pastries are worth the price, but the scrambled egg toast isn’t,” concluded the Boujie foodie.
The TikToker and her friend ended up spending £180 to cover the entire bill including drinks.
A three-course set lunch in the elegant restaurant will set you back £54, while side dishes cost an extra £9.
But a la carte main courses alone can cost up to £54, and a starter costs £32.
