CRYSTAL PALACE star Eberechi Eze nears a late call from England for the World Cup.

He has returned with a bang after a long break with Achilles tendon problems.

Eze, 23, has been dazzling of late and brings the kind of skills that could grace the international stage and complement the Three Lions group.

Palace were on the England watch list for midfielder Conor Gallagher and defenders Marc Guehi and Tyrick Mitchell.

Now Eze is ending the season strong, having steadily recovered since October.

Southgate has Phil Foden, Mason Mount and Jack Grealish on the left side of his midfield and is attacking, but Eze is now under serious consideration for a spot.
