CROSSFIT Games director and Sport general manager Dave Castro was fired by the CEO this week and Castro took to Instagram to criticize the current former boss and the move.

Roza announced the layoffs in an internal email, less than eight weeks before the CrossFit Games season began.
“I have made the difficult decision to change the leadership of the Sports team to best support CrossFit’s growth plans and Dave Castro is leaving the business,” according to the email, according to the email. Men’s Health.

It is unclear why Castro was fired, or what his next move after leaving would be.
The Sun has reached out to Castro and CrossFit for comment.
Castro was CEO for some time in 2020, when Greg Glassman, founder and former leader of CrossFit, stepped down.
Glassman later sold Company for Roza, who took the helm as chief executive officer.
Glassman resigned in June 2020 following outcry over a Insensitive tweets he mentioned the death of George Floyd.
In a statement at the time, Glassman said: “I will be stepping down as CEO of CrossFit, Inc. and I have decided to retire.
“On Saturday, I created a rift in the CrossFit community and inadvertently hurt many of its members.
“I can’t let my behavior get in the way of HQ’s affiliates. They’re too important to be dangerous.”
