CRISTIANO RONALDO bought the most expensive apartment ever sold in Portugal after paying £6m for the property that includes a gym and indoor swimming pool.
The brilliant penthouse sits next to Eduardo VII Park, near the neighborhood where Ronaldo spent some of his humble beginnings.
Local media reported that the Juventus star had an apartment in the Portuguese capital in July in the summer of 2018 but news of its purchase has only surfaced recently.

The national team captain is said to have beaten two other millionaires when he splurged on a 3,100-square-foot apartment in the Avenida de Liberdade area of the city.
The interior includes a spa, a swimming pool, a gym, as well as three large bedrooms.
It comes after he recently sold a villa for £2m to his former Real Madrid team-mate Pepe, located in the Geres region, north of Portugal.
Ronaldo had the mansion built from the ground up ten years ago during his first time at Manchester United.
He used the property in his hometown when he wanted some privacy, however, since then the site has become a tourist destination for football lovers.
Ronaldo lives with girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez in Manchester after the Portuguese icon moved back from Turin last summer.
Before that, he lived in a beautiful house in Madrid. His neighbor Elizabeth, better known as Betty, Can’t compliment the way he lives his life.
She said: “Lots of silence, no parties. I’ve never seen a car go our separate ways.
“I often see him at the wheel of a Rolls-Royce. We see him passing every day, with stained windows. But in his garage there are also sports cars. , like Lotus.

But in an interview with Piers Morgan, the 36-year-old opened up about his early struggles as a boy living in Lisbon, playing for the club’s academy.
The millionaire revealed that he once had to wait outside a McDonald’s restaurant because he was too poor to buy burgers for himself and was helped by a group of women to deliver food to Ronaldo and his hungry friends.
