Fabrizio Romano claims Ronaldo’s future at Old Trafford is unclear after Erik ten Hag’s arrival.

The Dutchman will implement a bold new style of football after many successes with Ajax.

And Ronaldo, 37, is said to “like” Ten Hag as well as his tactical style.

However, the Portuguese striker is far from happy with United’s transfer deal as he is linked with rivals Chelsea.

The Red Devils are yet to make a single signing despite having been in talks with Barcelona over Frenkie de Jong for several weeks.

United’s first acquisition could now be Feyenoord left-back Tyrell Malacia, who was on the verge of a £15million move to Lyon.

But Ronaldo wants United to pull out all the stops for “ambitious” signings in a bid to return to the Champions League.

It has caused the veteran to consider his future and Agent Mendes is reportedly speaking to outside clubs to see Ronnie’s options.

Bayern Munich have already rejected Ronaldo as they hope to stick with Barcelona target Robert Lewandowski.

Meanwhile, Chelsea owner Todd Boehly held talks with Mendes about several of his players, including Ronaldo.

But United insist their star is not for sale, with Ronnie playing a key role in Ten Hag’s plans.

The ace has one year left on his contract at Old Trafford.

And United legend Ronaldo would have to force an exit from the club if he really wants to leave. Cristiano Ronaldo wants Man Utd to be ‘ambitious’ in transfer market while agent Jorge Mendes ‘is in talks of exit’
