Cristiano Ronaldo ‘upset by 25 per cent pay cut included in contract for Man United missing out on Champions League’

CRISTIANO RONALDO is reportedly angered at Manchester United after taking a 25 per cent pay cut.
That’s because the Red Devils are missing out on Champions League football this season.

The Sunday Times claims Ronaldo, 37, was furious when United finished sixth in the Premier League last season.
The end of Ralf Rangnick’s tenure not only meant that the club missed out on the continent’s premier class.
But it also ensured Ronaldo’s salary fell from £480,000 a week to £360,000 a week.
The clause was written into his contract when Ronnie returned to United from Juventus last year.
And the Portuguese legend has been talking about the 25 percent deduction since she started two months ago.
The unfortunate Ronaldo has been pushing for an exit this summer despite Erik ten Hag introducing a new style at Old Trafford.
He has started just one of United’s four league games under the Dutchman.
And the striker was only able to muster a brief appearance from the bench in yesterday’s win at Southampton.

But Ronaldo has failed to secure a transfer offer from a big side despite being linked with Chelsea and Bayern Munich.
His best option could be a return to youth club Sporting Lisbon.
However, Italian giants Napoli could reportedly make an offer soon while Victor Osimhen moves the other way.
However, United will not easily remain in attack should Ronaldo leave.
That’s because they’re finally getting closer to Ajax winger Antony.
The Dutch club turned down a £75million offer from United on Friday.
But they have now reportedly accepted an offer of £85million after Antony went public with his anger at being denied a move.
