Cristiano Ronaldo sends powerful message to Man Utd teammates as he breaks goal drought in win over Brighton
CRISTIANO RONALDO sent a powerful message to his Manchester United teammates as he finally broke the goal drought IN THE HOUR.
The Portuguese superstar, 37, scored a superb goal to put United on the road and score their first win in four games.
His strike – ending a barren six-game streak, his worst in front of goal since 2009 – was aided by Scott McTominay picking up the bag of an Yves Bissouma mixing colors.
The ball landed at Ronaldo’s feet and he fired an unstoppable shot from Robert Sanchez that hit the Seagulls.
Ronaldo abandoned his signature ‘Siu’ celebration as tensions eased at Old Trafford.
And after the win, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner took to social media to send a message to United players and loyalists.
He wrote: “Back to the track! No one gives up and there’s only one way to get back on track: hard work, teamwork, serious work.
“Everything else is just noise. Let’s go Devil!”

Bruno Fernandes sealed the victory, after Lewis Dunk saw red, with a late goal.
The victory brought Man United back to 4th place, 2 points ahead of West Ham.
However, Arsenal are in sixth place, four points behind but with three games in hand.
Speaking about the strike during his post-match press conference, the manager Ralf Rangnick “It was an incredible goal. Not only an important goal, but an incredible one.
“Overall, it was also a good performance by Cristiano. He was online full of energy, he was always trying to help other teammates.
“I think over the last few weeks it will be his best performance and it’s very, very important for us.”
