CRISTIANO RONALDO was reportedly left alone in the dressing room for 20 minutes after Manchester United’s recent defeat at Brighton.
The Portuguese star, 37, returned to Old Trafford last summer in hopes of reviving the fallen giants and guiding them to success.
Despite the legend becoming the Premier League’s third-highest goalscorer with 18 goals, the legend and his side struggled in a turbulent season.
That ended on Sunday when they limped down to sixth place despite a terrible 1-0 defeat at Crystal Palace.
However, a new report claims that the 4-0 defeat at Brighton on May 7 left Ronaldo stunned.
The MEN claim that a “sympathetic Brighton staff member wished them a safe journey home” as United staff trudged through the Amex stadium tunnel.
A “dejected” United official is said to have replied: “What a waste of time.”
The report went on to claim that Ronaldo sat alone in the dressing room for at least 20 minutes.
He is said to have been escorted outside before returning inside.
It is claimed his driver was waiting outside and security said Ronaldo would show up once the buses left.

A MEN source said some players who were given a time-out went separately.
It came after the traveling Manchester United supporters chanted “Viva Ronaldo” as if to separate him from the “You’re not fit to wear the shirt” chants.
There has been speculation for months whether Ronaldo would remain at United under new boss Erik ten Hag – who watched yesterday’s defeat from the stands at Selhurst Park.
But the new manager confirmed this morning that the ex-Real Madrid and Juventus striker is on board with his plans, replying when asked: “Of course!”
He was then asked what Ronaldo brings, to which he replied ‘goals’ which caused a few laughs in the conference room.
Ten Hag was then asked what he wanted to see from Ronaldo, to which he replied brusquely: “I’ll talk to Ronaldo first before I talk to you.”
