Cristiano Ronaldo ‘helps Al Nassr create two-man manager shortlist’ as they target elite coaches

CRISTIANO RONALDO is helping Al Nassr narrow her manager shortlist to just two names, according to the report.
Al Nassr sacked former boss Rudi Garcia, leaving the club three points adrift of top spot in the Saudi Pro League.

A statement from the club read: “Al Nassr is pleased to announce that Head Coach Rudi Garcia has left the club by mutual consent.
“The board and everyone at Al Nassr would like to thank Rudi and his employees for their dedicated work over the past eight months.”
The final straw for Garcia seemed to come after reports of a dressing room argument with players following the 0-0 draw with Al Feiha.
And after Ronaldo reportedly passed his dissatisfaction with the Frenchman’s approach to the board, he has now been drafted to help select the next manager.
According to CBS Sports, Ronaldo has told the club to do everything possible to sign one of his former bosses.
These candidates are Jose Mourinho and Zinedine Zidane.
The former has reportedly already been hit with a huge offer that could net him £52million a year.
With his Roma future in doubt, the Portuguese is said to be “seriously considering the offer”.

In fact, both have had tremendous success with Ronaldo in the past.
The ex-Real Madrid and Manchester United star won three consecutive Champions Leagues with Zidane.
From a personal point of view, he enjoyed his most successful goalscoring season under Mourinho, scoring 60 goals in 2011/12.
Ronaldo wields significant power in the club’s decision-making processes, coupled with his staggering £173m-a-year contract at the club.
U19 coach Dinko Jelicic got the job in Garcia’s absence and there is a big game against Al-Hilal on Tuesday.
