CRISTIANO Ronaldo has been charged with breaking FA rules after slapping the phone out of the hands of an autistic boy.

The Manchester United striker has been cautioned over the incident as he left the pitch at Goodison Park following a defeat by Everton last April.

It is alleged that the striker’s behavior after the final whistle was inappropriate and/or violent.

Manchester United today responded to the charge: “We take note of the FA’s announcement regarding Cristiano Ronaldo.

“We will support the player in his response to the charges.”
