MANCHESTER UNITED legend Gary Neville has criticized Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes for running straight down the tunnel during game time following the 1-1 draw against Newcastle.
The Red Devils had lackluster performances in both defense and attack, but were saved by super-sub Edinson Cavani with 20 minutes remaining.
But full-time, main man Ronaldo and close friend Fernandes plunged down the tunnel, thanking no traveling United fans who were faced with the 150-mile trip home.
Above Sports sky, Neville confided: “It bothered me for about two months.
“The best players on your team, it’s terrible that they show that look and body language to younger guys. They have to help them.
“They have to be the father, the grandfather in the team.
“I made a big mistake at Man Utd but I have great senior players who will help me but also put their arms around. I think something is wrong.
“You can’t run away at the end of a game. Bruno is always on the go; he’s the sensationalist for Man Utd.

“The two centre-backs have played poorly, Maguire is having a nightmare season.
“You have to be there when your teammates need you in those moments.
“At the end of the day, I love that guy [Ronaldo], he’s the best person i’ve ever seen in my life, but don’t run away like that. I don’t have that. “
Neville further criticized the ‘energy’ United showed with and without the ball.
The Reds controlled the game with spells, but generally failed to lead the game because of a stiff neck.
Neville added: “I didn’t like the performance at all.
“Today we didn’t control the game beyond a few moments. It’s all about the energy, the physicality and who wins the second ball.
“In all those areas we weren’t in the best shape. Good thing we got a point but the performance needs to be better.
“You have to be willing and able to win those head-to-head games and this doesn’t happen often. When we took control, we had too many gifts and even with the goal, that’s it. Doesn’t make things easy.
“Today is not a question of body language, but a question of body physics.
“If you want to compete here you have to be physically fit and this hasn’t happened in many parts of the game.
