NORTH CHARLESTON, South Carolina (AP) — Authorities say a collision between an Amtrak prepare and a automobile at a railroad crossing in South Carolina has resulted in three deaths.
The North Charleston Fireplace Division stated in a press release that the automobile was discovered closely broken when police arrived on the scene early Saturday.
Three individuals who had been touring within the automobile have been pronounced lifeless on the scene. A fourth individual was taken to a neighborhood hospital.
There have been 500 passengers on the prepare, however no reported accidents, the assertion stated. The Amtrak prepare was in a position to make a managed emergency cease after the collision.
Injury to the prepare is being assessed by Amtrak representatives.
