MIAMI (CBSMiami) – An outbreak of COVID on a Navy warship forced it to remain in port in Cuba.
An unspecified number of the USS Milwaukee’s crew are isolated on board at the Guantanamo Bay naval station.
Navy officials have yet to determine whether the high-transmissibility omicron variant is to blame.
A Navy spokesman said all 105 crew members were fully vaccinated, but did not mention how many are currently infected.
