COVID cases prompt NFL to reschedule some games this weekend – CBS Pittsburgh

As the NFL notices an uptick in COVID cases across the league, several games this weekend have been rescheduled.

Pittsburgh AFC North’s rival Cleveland, whose starting midfielder and backup midfielder have both shown positive results this week, will now play on Monday instead of Saturday.

Browns, 7-6, welcome Las Vegas Raiders, 6-7, in a pivotal game in the AFC wild card race.

And Steelers’ recent rival Philadelphia will play NFC North rival Washington on Tuesday, instead of Sunday. The same goes for the NFC West confrontation between the Seahawks and the Rams.

Comprised of Baker Mayfield and Case Keenum, the Browns now have a total of 19 players on their COVID list, as does their head coach, Kevin Stefanski.

Washington also dropped the top two quarterbacks and has about 20 players on its COVID list.
