Live wallpapers work just like live photos or GIFs, and they’re a fun way to make your lock screen more interesting.
How to set video as lock screen on iPhone
You’ll need an iPhone 6S or later (iPhone SE not included) for this trick.
Apple has a selection of live wallpapers, but it’s more fun if you set your own.
If you have a photo directly in the Photos app that you want to use then just open it, click the button in the bottom left corner and scroll to “Use as wallpaper”.
Click this and it will automatically appear as an animated wallpaper unless you turn it off.

Find the video of your choice on your iPhone.
Download and open a popular app called intoLive.
After you give it access to your photo library, you can upload any video and the app will turn it into a five-second live photo.
You can select the video part you want in the live photo and add effects.

When done, click “Save Live Photo” and it will go into your Photos app.
Then you can follow the steps to get the animated wallpaper mentioned above or go to Settings > Wallpaper > Choose a new wallpaper.
This will allow you to select your newly created live photo and click “Set as lock screen”.
Just hold the lock screen and your live photo will play.
