THE VIEW fans were shocked when Whoopi Goldberg almost let slip an NSFW comment on Thursday’s episode.

The host, 67, got heated during the show’s Hot Topics discussion.

In Thursday’s edition of The View, panelists discussed the recent case in Virginia in which a six-year-old child brought a gun into school and shot his teacher in the chest.

The show then played a clip of the teacher’s attorney describing the red flags that school staff ignored, including verbal accounts of a child carrying a gun

“How come someone in a school who hears the word ‘gun’ doesn’t act immediately?” Whoopi began.

“Don’t say, ‘We close everything, we search every child.'”

“Who says, ‘It’s going to be okay’?”

Whoopi then almost let an obscenity slip as he raged, “What the… what? What?” What?”

The studio audience laughed in unison with the co-host’s outrage.

Whoopi was left speechless as she attempted to continue her tirade before Sara Haines took over.

Many viewers at home also took in the near curse.

“Exactly Whoopi! WTF!” wrote one on Twitter.

It’s not the first time in recent memory that the show has come close to making gaffes on the airwaves.

Whoopi and the other panelists were misled on Wednesday when a loud farting noise was heard during a discussion of classified documents.

“Is it true that Trump had nuclear secrets?” Sunny Hostin had asked.

Alyssa Farrah Griffin replied: “It’s been reported but we don’t know the details…”

However, Whoopi and Sara were clearly not listening when the presenter pointed out some spillage on the table

As Sara shifted in her chair to tidy it up, a very loud fart sound erupted.

Alyssa laughed awkwardly as she tried to continue with a distraction from the noise.

“Oops! We had a little spill on the other side of the table!” she said.

But things got more serious on Tuesday when Whoopi lashed out at the teaching of critical race theory in schools.

The Sister Act star continued his impassioned tirade about the music as producers attempted to pull a commercial break.
