The Irishman is apparently following the UFC lightweight champion’s activities online. Oliveira recently posted a photo of herself with Brazilian sports superstar Neymar. In what appeared to be an attempt to re-establish his rivalry with the Brazilian nation, ‘The Notorious’ used his Instagram stories to split Oliveira and Neymar.
Two of McGregor’s most notable wins were against Brazilian boxers Diego Brandao and Jose Aldo. By doing so, McGregor has earned the status of a super boxer in the South American country.
Furthermore, McGregor has expressed a desire to fight for the title when he returns at some point this year. The Irish took up the challenge directly by asking Oliveira for a date for a potential clash.
In an interview with Sherdog, the 155-pound champion earnestly responded to McGregor’s challenge, saying:
“Probably going to be a great date. Conor challenged me to ask a date and tweeted Ireland vs. Brazil 2. Not only him, but myself and all the world want to see that match.” So let’s make it happen I’m waiting for him in May. It can be in welterweight, light or middleweight, with my title or not. Just pick and I will. ready. “
Charles Oliveira asks fans to choose between Conor McGregor and Justin Gaethje
Charles Oliveira posted a poll to determine what his fans would like to see him face-to-face next in the UFC lightweight title fight. The Brazilian posted a photo of himself standing next to Conor McGregor and Justin Gaethje with the caption:
“Let’s start the new year with this poll, who do you want to watch against me.”

Logic dictates that Gaethje is next in line after beating Michael Chandler in a UFC bout War of the year for 2021. Once again, it’s no secret that McGregor is enjoying the UFC co-op. With that in mind, a McGregor-Oliveira title fight isn’t entirely out of the equation even though the Irishman is in the lead.
