McGregor, 33, is gradually working his way back into shape after intensifying his work at the gym in recent months.
A comeback is still a long way off but the Irishman expects good news in the coming days.
Speaking to Sky Sports at the Monaco Grand Prix, he said: “The body is fine. I’m out here with my entire team.
“Of course I’m enjoying the Monaco Grand Prix, after that we’ll gradually increase the training.

“I should be able to kick now, I have another CT scan in the coming days and then I can kick.
“Once I can kick and grab, I’ll be back in no time.
“Boxing is going well, strength training and that’s all. I’m looking forward to coming back.”
UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier believes McGregor will return against Michael Chandler.

But DC feels it would be better to accept a trilogy fight with old rival Nate Diaz instead.
Cormier told ESPN: “Well, I have two names. I know who he should be fighting and I know who he is likely to fight.
“Who he should be fighting is Nate Diaz. You should complete this trilogy. It’s a mighty fight.
“Both guys aren’t necessarily on the cover now. It’s a fun fight. We saw it twice and both delivered.
“I think it’s even, so I think he should fight Nate Diaz.
Boxing is my first martial arts love
Conor McGregor
“I think who he’s going to fight is Michael Chandler because Michael Chandler has taken the UFC by storm.”
As well as making further noise in the UFC, McGregor has vowed to return to the boxing ring one day.
He added: “Boxing is my first martial arts love.
“I had such a great time the last time I was out there…
“Obviously my return will be inside the octagon for the UFC, mixed martial arts.
“This story is far from over. In fact, history is only just being written, it is just beginning.
“So that’s where I’ll be returning, but I’ll certainly be gracing the square circle again.”
