UFC fans all said the same thing after learning about the latest development regarding Conor McGregor’s return.

The Notorious hasn’t stepped foot in the octagon in over two years but is preparing for his highly anticipated comeback against Michael Chandler.

UFC executives had hoped that McGregor and Chandler, 35 and 37 respectively, would win their final pay-per-view card of the year on December 16.

McGregor’s absence from the USADA drug testing pool, which he must join for at least six months before he is eligible to compete, appears to have delayed the fight.

At an appearance on Piers Morgan uncensoredUFC President and CEO Dana White revealed: “He’s back in the gym, he’s training.”

“And yes, I expect Conor to fight next Year.”

And MMA fans were quick to lament the delay in Mac’s return, tweeting: “I thought he was fighting Chandler this year?”

Another said: “Shit.”

And another said: “Tffffff that guy should fight IFW LMAO or August.” [or] September now next year lol.

One remarked: “I guess Chandler won’t get that big.” Money battle?”

Another chimed in: “Only time will tell.”

McGregor hasn’t stepped foot in the octagon since breaking his left leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier two years ago.

The loss to his fellow fan favorite was the Irishmanis third in his last four Octagon appearances, his last win coming in 2020.

And the millions in the bank of White, the former two-division champion, played a small role in his recent exit.

He said: “This is what happens, Piers, and you know it – I’m sure you’ve seen it with colleagues, friends and people you know.

“Once you reach a certain level of money, to be the person you imagined yourself to be, to be so hungry, to work so hard, and to be so dedicated to the sport, or whatever you are If you practice crafts, money changes everything.”
