And they got off to a perfect start in the second leg when Fikayo Tomori was sent off in the 18th minute for thwarting a clear scoring opportunity.

The England centre-back brought down Mason Mount in the box and Milan were penalized with a red card and a penalty.

Jorginho stepped forward to give Chelsea the lead but just seconds before converting the penalty, a home fan put a laser in his eye.

However, it did not have the desired effect.

The Italian sent Ciprian Tatarusanu the wrong way to give the visitors an early lead.

In response to the laser aimed at Jorginho, a social media user said: “Jorginho has ice in his veins.”

While another joked: “This isn’t a laser from the crowd, Jorginho has laser focus right now.”

Jorginho’s penalty gave Chelsea the initiative as they took control by a man.

And with 11 minutes remaining, Graham Potter’s men were coasting as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang doubled their lead.

Chelsea then saw the second half over to secure a 2-0 win – seven points from four Champions League games.

Since Potter replaced Thomas Tuchel last month, Chelsea have been unbeaten in five games and won the last four.
