ALESHA Dixon and Paddy McGuinness were left dumbfounded after Comic Relief encountered a technical error – with just 20 minutes left of the show.
The hosts welcomed Mind Mangler – played by Henry Lewis – onto the stage shortly after Fantastic Beasts stars Eddie Redmayne and Jude Law surprised several students.
However, during Mind Mangler’s very brief appearance, viewers could still hear Eddie and Jude voicing in the upper part.
The segment was quickly cut short, with Alesha saying, “Give it to Mind Mangler”, before correcting herself and noting that there had been a “technical error”.
Viewers can’t help noticing the opportune moment of everything going wrong and questioning whether it was planned in advance.
On Twitter, one person wrote: “When Magic Goes Wrong … wrong. It’s awkward.”
Echoing their comments, another said: “Magic Goes Sai going wrong is really the best thing of 2022.”
While a third person questioned: “Is it wrong that I can’t really tell if that Mind Mangler bit is really supposed to happen or is it an actual technical error?”
Earlier in the show, Paddy started the proceedings and stunned the co-hosts with a rather rude joke.
As hundreds of red noses showered the audience, Lenny shouted, “That’s a red nose,” but Paddy soon caused his colleagues to blush.
The Top Gear host quipped: “Oh, no. No, sorry, sorry, sorry. Excuse me. Hey buddy, it has to go on your nose. “
Then, in a moment of surprise, Paddy shook his head before adding: “Sorry, that’s my cousin.”
Almost immediately, Paddy’s other hosts looked embarrassed as he performed what appeared to be an X-rated joke.
