JAMIE CARRAGHER had a somewhat bizarre way of describing Jean-Philippe Mateta’s goal against Arsenal on Monday night.
The Crystal Palace forward opened the scoring with a clinical header from close range in the 16th minute.
A deep Conor Gallagher free-kick was accidentally headed over the goal by Joachim Andersen while Mateta overtook Aaron Ramsdale.
And while Mateta’s facial expressions before heading home were priceless, it was Sky Sports Pandit Carragher’s description of the target.
The 24-year-old looked almost in disbelief as the ball came his way, while the striker widened his eyes and opened his mouth as it came towards him.
While showing replays of the goal and Mateta’s facial expression, Carragher hilariously blurted out, “Come to daddy!”
However, some viewers winced at Carraher’s comment.
Taking to social media, one said: “No way did Carra just say come see dad on live TV.”
Meanwhile, another added: “Can’t overhear Carragher’s shouting, get to dad.”
And a third said: “Why did I just hear @Carra23 yell come to dad.”

Jordan Ayew doubled Palace’s lead with less than 25 minutes on the clock before a penalty by Wilfried Zaha with 12 minutes left sealed the game.
That means Arsenal remain fifth in the Premier League table after being leapfrogged by Tottenham on Sunday and the race for Champions League qualification is now in full swing.
