PIERS MORGAN has urged Declan Rice to join Arsenal.
The Arsenal fan believes the West Ham midfielder is ‘exactly’ what the Gunners need.
Rice has been linked with a summer move to Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal are believed to be interested in signing the Hammers’ captain in order to bolster their midfield options.
It was also said the club are also keen on the deal as it would be a blow to Chelsea, which Rice is a long-term target of.
The Blues have hijacked Arsenal’s deal for Mykhailo Mudryk and it could be a way for the north London side to get their own back.
However, Morgan believes Rice would be perfect for Mikel Arteta’s squad alongside Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey.
He told TalkSPORT Breakfast: “I love Declan Rice. I had this conversation with him on Twitter where I asked him to come over before. I think he’s exactly what we need.
“I think when Arsenal start with our first XI, including Xhaka and Partey, we look really strong, but if either of those two get injured I think we need another great midfielder, also in attack can play a role.”
“Rice can do anything and he has the right mentality, the right attitude. I think he’s an Arteta-style player and I think he would fit absolutely perfectly into our squad.”

The Vocal Gunner also suggested Rice could be “loved” should he move to Emirates Stadium.
He added: “So Declan, come on, I know you’re listening Declan – come on, come on to the Emirates. Come and be loved.”
The England international has made it clear he wants to fight for trophies in his career.
That doesn’t seem likely with 18th place West Ham.
However, a move to Arsenal will not come cheap as the East London club will charge a premium price for their star player.
