College of Florida orders professors to not testify in opposition to voting restrictions

The College of Florida mentioned Saturday it’s barring three professors from offering knowledgeable testimony in a lawsuit that claims a brand new state legislation restricts voting rights, The Associated Press reports. The college mentioned in a press release that testimony by professors Dan Smith, Michael McDonald, and Sharon Austin as paid specialists for the plaintiffs can be “antagonistic to the college’s pursuits as a state of Florida establishment.”

Attorneys for the coalition of civics teams difficult the legislation mentioned in courtroom papers that the college informed the professors their testimony would create a battle for the varsity as a result of it will conflict with the place of Florida Gov.
