COLDPLAY announced they would be embarking on their Music Of The Spheres world tour in 2022, however some dates have been pushed back to 2023.
The delay comes as the band revealed vocalist Chris Martin has developed a lung infection.
Has Coldplay postponed their tour?
Coldplay have announced they are suspending their world tour after Chris Martin developed a lung infection.
Posting the news on social media, the band expressed “deep regret” at the cancellations and said they hope to reschedule in 2023.
Martin has been placed under strict medical orders to rest for three weeks beginning in early October 2022.
Their delay will affect the shows that were scheduled to take place in Brazil and the band said ticket holders can still use them for the postponed shows.
However, they said they would give a full refund to anyone who wanted to cancel their ticket.
In the statement, they wrote: “To all those affected, please accept our sincere apologies and, as always, thank you for your love and support.”
Their tour is expected to resume on October 25 for ten shows in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
When is the Coldplay tour?
The band announced their Music of Spheres world tour for 2021, which will take place in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Sweden and Denmark.
