Today, we’ll enjoy another day of January summer with peak temperatures in the mid-80s and the possibility of some afternoon showers.
All of this will change tomorrow when the first of a series of frigid fronts is pushed through the region. Looking ahead, there could be some showers on Monday. Ahead, cooler and drier air will hit SW Florida, and will hang around for the rest of next week.
More intensifying cold fronts will spread across the region throughout next week into next weekend as the Polar Vortex lands on its own in eastern Canada. Our lows are most likely to drop to the 40s on Friday morning and the cold pattern is very likely to continue into the second half of January.
