Colby Covington predicts Dustin Poirier will move to welterweight after losing title match to Charles Oliveira

Former UFC welterweight title challenger Colby Covington predicted that Charles Oliveira will defeat Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier when the two men went head to head at UFC 269.

Furthermore, Covington predicts that Poirier will make the move up to 170lbs, a level that Poirier himself has been alluding to for some time. In a video uploaded to his Instagram, ‘Chaos’ features the following:

“Hello nerds and virgins. America’s champion is back in America’s league of the week, brought together by Colby Covington and the undisputed king of sports, to you Dustin Soyrier and Mr. Ed looks like Brazilian jebrony Charles Oliveira This line is blown up, like Dustin’s ego Oliveira will look like an All-American D1 out there. Dustin is down, and then he will be forced to move up to my assigned position.”

What’s next for Colby Covington?

In 2021, Covington excelled in his second fight against UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman. The fight was a tight contest that took place over five innings. However, Covington was unable to assert any consistent dominance over Usman, and lost by unanimous decision.

However, Covington recently announced that he is open to taking on rising weight star Khamzat Chimaev. The two men have been back and forth on social media, with ‘Chaos’ saying he was happy to send ‘Borz’ for a ‘hospital trip’.
