Cola Rises 2022 Social Security Update: Cost of Living Rises ‘$2,753’ to go out NEXT WEEK as calculator reveals

The cost-of-living increase is due out next week, and you can find out how much you’ll get by using the Social Security Administration’s website.

You can find out your benefit information by visiting SSA’s message center where you’ll need to create an account if you haven’t already.

More than 64 million recipientsSocial Securityis set to receive larger checks this month, totaling about $1,657 per recipient.

It’s an increase fromaverage pay for retired workersin 2021, is $1,565 per month.

A typical couple’s benefits will increase by $154 – from $2,599 to $2,753 per month.

If you do not receive your payment by the expected date, SSA asks to allow three more mailing days before contacting Social Security.

Theincreaseassociated with an increase in the consumer price index as determined by the US Department of Labor and Statistics.
