Cobra Kai Season 6 Updates: Is there another season happening?

I can’t believe we’re getting another season already Cobra Kai! The karate dramedy has been a Netflix staple and fans are so excited to dive into what happens next. Of course, anyone watching will remember the explosive Season 4 finale as they watched the characters deal with the results of the All Valley tournament.

Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) has proven to be the worst villain this franchise has ever seen, and Daniel (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny (William Zabka) will need all the help they can get Cobra Kai Season 5 to even get close to him.

Cobra Kai Season 5 premieres on Netflix this Friday, September 9 at 12:00 p.m. PT / 3:00 p.m. ET. Are you gonna stay up late tonight to start binging? We wouldn’t blame you! This show is so entertaining.

Will there be a Cobra Kai Season 6?

At the time of this writing Cobra Kai Season 6 has not been announced. But we wouldn’t worry too much about that. There Cobra Kai Season 5 is about to be released, it’s not uncommon that we haven’t heard about a possible next season yet. Of course Season 5 was announced before Season 4 came out, but that was just a pleasant surprise.

According to the people behind it Cobra Kaithe hope has been there for “at least” six seasons, so there’s reason to believe Cobra Kai Season 6 will be announced shortly. In July 2022, co-creator Jon Hurwitz replied to a fan on Twitterto clarify comments previously made about the number of seasons Cobra Kai would have.

“We were misquoted when we said there would be 6 seasons. We’ve said many times that we hoped there would be at least 6 seasons. But we’ll see,” Hurwitz wrote.

Hurwitz also said the same day on Twitter: “I can only say that we expect more Cobra Kai to come and that the Miyagiverse is far from finished.”

That’s great news, but while the creators want the show to go on, at the end of the day it’s up to Netflix. The streamer will likely want to analyze viewership numbers for Season 5 before making any decisions. That is, considering Cobra Kai was very successful for the streamer, we assume that season 6 will most likely take place. We’ll just have to keep our fingers crossed and wait.
